glorious glazed carrots
I cut this out of the paper years ago. My family loves it. Even the ones who figure "if they HAVE to eat vegetables, at least they get these great carrots..."

Ingredients
- 2 pounds peeled carrots cut into rounds
- 14 ounces low sodium chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon diced fresh dill weed
- 2 tablespoons chopped italian parsley for garnish
How To Make glorious glazed carrots
-
Step 1Cut the peeled carrots into rounds and set aside for a moment. Put all the other ingredients into a skillet, except for the garnish. Stir it up, turn on the heat and add the carrots.
-
Step 2Bring to a simmer (this takes about 5 minutes) and give it a stir. Then put a lid on it and reduce the heat so it stays simmering for about 5 more minutes.
-
Step 3Remove the lid carefully so as to not burn your face, and continue cooking until you have a sweet syrup reduction that coats the carrots nicely. Serve up right from the pan, or put into a pretty bowl and sprinkle with the parsley garnish.
