Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sliced onion rings
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 1 cup peeled and grated apples
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 - bay leaf
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups shredded red cabbage
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
How To Make cabbage sidedish

Step 1Spray a large saucepan with non stick spray. Add onions and garlic. Cook and stir over medium heat until tender, about 5 minutes.

Step 2Dilute apple juice with 1/2 cup water to make 1 cup total. Add to onions and garlic, along with apples, vinegar, brown sugar, bay leaf, and pepper. Stir and bring mixture to a boil. Stir in cabbage. Cover and simmer over medium heat until cabbage is tender crisp, about 12 minutes.

Step 3Discard bay leaf and stir in parsley before serving.
