Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 cup red onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup red onions, chopped
- 8 cups red cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 large red apples, peeled, cored, chopped
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 - bayleaf
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make braised red cabbage and apples

Step 1In lg saucepan, over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion and cook 5 mins, stirring. Stir in cabbage, garlic and apples.

Step 2Cook, stirrin often for 5-8 mins, or until cabbage wilts. Stir in chicken broth, vinegar, sugar and bayleasf.

Step 3Reduce heat. Cover, simmer, stirring occasionaly, 45 mins. Remove bayleaf. season w/ salt and pepper.
