I got a good deal on minute rice that I just couldn't pass up. So now the challenge is how to make it so that it doesn't taste like minute rice (:

This recipe worked very well and you can play with it adding all of your favorite veggies and broth flavorings.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 2 slice
    bacon, finely diced
  • 1/4 c
    onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 c
    chard, sliced
  • 2 oz
    angel hair pasta, dry broken into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 c
    minute rice
  • 1 1/2 c
    chicken broth
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Bacon and Chard Quick Rice

Step-by-Step

  1. In a medium skillet cook bacon until done about 7 minutes. Remove from skillet and add onion and angel hair pasta. Cook until pasta is golden.
  2. Add rice, chard, and chicken broth. Cook for 7 minutes until pasta is cooked.
  3. Return bacon and stir to combine. Enjoy!
