Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups cornbread crumbs
  • 1 package (16 oz.) herb stuffing mix
  • 2 cans (10-3/4-oz.ea.) cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 3 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon rubbed sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut up

How To Make old fashioned cornbread dressing

  • Step 1
    Coat a 5-1/2- or 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl stir all ingredients together, except butter. Pour cornbread mixture into prepared slow cooker and dot with butter.
  • Step 3
    Cover and cook on LOW setting for 4 hours, or until cooked through and set.
