Everyone loved my beans that I made for my Mom's Birthday Party...they were all filling dishes to take home with them...I have to admit they were pretty darn tasty... Sharing my recipe, hoping my memory serves me correctly with the measurements...yeah, forgot to measure...Lol! Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 7 pounds can - bushes original baked beans
  • 1 pound cooked crisp bacon, crumbled
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1/8 cup yellow mustard or to taste
  • 1/4 cup unsulphered molasses or more if you like
  • 1 1/4 cups ketchup
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dry mustard

How To Make my yummy baked beans

  • Step 1
This recipe could be halved. I made for 20 people and very little left. Empty beans into a medium sized roaster or casserole dish. Mix in all other ingredients, then taste to see if you need any adjusting...I just keep tasting as I add...
  • Step 2
Bake in a 375 degree oven, for 2 - 2 1/2 hours or until desired thickness, ( stirring occasionally ) I take out of oven when still a little bit runny, as they will continue thickening as they sit. These are great served right away or even cold. They were a big hit at my party...enjoy!
