Ingredients

  • 8 ounces macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • - black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs buttered

How To Make classic baked mac and cheese

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Step 2
    Cook macaroni and drain
  • Step 3
    Melt butter and stir in flour and salt and pepper. Blend well.
  • Step 4
    Pour in milk and cream stirring constantly for about 2 minutes
  • Step 5
    Stir in cheese and transfer macaroni into buttered baking dish.
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle with bread crumbs
  • Step 7
    Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until top is golden brown. Enjoy!
