pepperidge farm crushed stuffing mix (blue package) or your favorite stuffing mix
2 stalk(s)
celery, sliced in half lengthwise then chopped
1 large
onion, chopped
1/2 stick
butter, melted
1 can(s)
(14 1/2 oz) chicken broth
1 can(s)
cream of chicken soup
egg, beaten
3/4 c
almonds, slivered
2 Tbsp
fresh chopped parsley
1/2 tsp
poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp
rubbed sage
1/4 tsp
1/8 tsp
ground pepper
1/8 tsp
1 clove
garlic, minced
1/2 lb
bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 Tbsp
reserved bacon drippings

How to Make Almond-Bacon Bread Stuffing


  • 1In a large skillet, saute celery and onion in 1 tablespoon bacon drippings until tender.
  • 2Add almonds to frying pan and heat over medium-high heat until lightly toasted.
  • 3Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Place in 9x13 inch casserole (or stuff chicken/turkey) Cover and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes. Note: cook time is different if stuffing a bird with it. Cook bird as normal, allow for a bit more time when stuffed.
