sausage and stir-fry brown rice

Brown rice is a bit nutty in texture as is a whole grain which has it's outer bran layer. Is much more high in nutritional value than white rice. Which makes brown rice a much better choice.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 cup brown rice
- 3 cups water
- 1 large red onion
- 1/2 cup ground sausage
- 1 cup french green beans
- 1 can sliced chestnuts
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- dash black pepper
- dashes dash cayenne
- dash red chili powder
- Dash - cumin
- dash paprika
- 3 - segments garlic
- Dashes - minced garlic
How To Make sausage and stir-fry brown rice

Step 1place 1 tablespoon oil in saucepan, add 1 c. Brown rice, and 3 c. Water

Step 2Bring to boil, cover with tight fitting lid. Lower heat and simmer for 26 minutes. DO NOT lift lid until time is up. Fluff with fork.

Step 31 c. Uncooked rice makes 8 one-half c. Servings

Step 4Place 2 tbsp. Oil in stainless steel pan or Wok add 1 c. Cooked rice. Sprinkle with minced garlic, red chili powder, cayenne, cumin, paprika, black pepper, add 3 tbsp. Chopped nuts, sliced water chestnuts, snap peas, French beans or your choice of fresh vegetable. If adding your choice of meat or fish, such as shrimp, beef or sausage. Cook separately first Then stir-fry with rice, seasonings and vegetables until browned. Lift and Stir while frying until done. For a delicious meal.
