- 1 cup water
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 medium potato, grated

Step 1Mix all ingredients except potato in a saucepan. Let simmer, stirring occasionally, until onion is transparent. Stir in potato. Just bring mixture to a boil, cover. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Makes 4-6 servings.
