These garlic roasted sweet potatoes are a wonderful fall side dish and a delicious addition to a holiday meal. Roasting the sweet potatoes brings out their sweetness. They are tossed in a wonderful combination of spices. Garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and a touch of liquid smoke add lots of flavor to the sweet potatoes. Once roasted, they're sweet, savory, and almost creamy. A great way to get kids to eat their veggies.

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1/4 stick butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 dash black pepper

How To Make garlic roasted sweet potatoes

  • Cut peeled sweet potatoes into chunks.
    Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Peel and cut sweet potatoes into medium chunks.
  • Add garlic to melted butter.

    In a medium-sized pot on low heat, melt the butter. Add garlic and sauté till the garlic becomes aromatic.
