buttery mashed potatoes

Ingredients
- 2 pounds potatoes
- 6 tablespoons butter (for extra buttery flavor add 2 more tbsp)
- 1 cup milk or cream
- 1 1/2 tablespoons salt (add less or more to your liking)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
How To Make buttery mashed potatoes

Step 1Peel and cut potatoes into 1 1/2-2 inch pieces, rinse and place in medium size pan with 1/2 tbsp. of salt & water over medium heat. Cook until fork slides in and out of potatoes easily, strain and then begin step two.

Step 2Return strained potatoes back to the pan, begin mashing them with a potato masher until the clumps are gone. (you can also use a electric hand mixer if preferred)

Step 3Add milk slowly while mixing along with the butter and salt & pepper to your preference. Once all mixed up put in a bowl and serve.
