This sweet tropical syrup is wonderful in cocktails, on pancakes or over yogurt.

Ingredients

1 c
sugar
1 c
water
1 1/2 c
passion fruit pulp (about 6 passion fruits)

How to Make "South American - Passion Fruit Syrup

Step-by-Step

  • 1Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • 2Boil the mixture over high heat for 5 minutes.
  • 3Add the passion fruit pulp and cook, stirring for another 1 minute.
  • 4Turn off the heat and put the pot in a cold water bath to quickly chill.
  • 5At this point you can either strain the syrup and discard the seeds, or keep both the seeds and syrup together as I like to do.
