this is a recipe of my own for those spring and summer fish fries.

Ingredients For hush puppies

  • 4 c
    martha white self rising corn meal mix
  • 2
    eggs beaten
  • 1/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 6 tsp
    sugar
  • 1 lg
    onion finely chopped
  • 1 c
    italian flat leaf parsley finely diced

How To Make hush puppies

  • 1
    mix all the ingretiance in a large bowl. place a medium pan on the stove filled 1/4 with the oil. heat the oil on med high burner until hot. drop a heaping tablespoon of the mixture 4 times let the 4 tablespoons of mixture fry until it swells and becomes golden brown remove each from oil and place on a plate lines with paper towel. repeat in batches of 4 till all mixture is gone. makes about 20 hush puppies enjoy.
