  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons shortening
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes

How To Make carrot dumplings

  • Step 1
    Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening. Add in milk, carrot and parsley, stirring until flour is moist. Drop dumplings into simmering liquid in 8 mounds. Cover. Simmer 15 minutes without lifting cover. Makes 8 servings.
