How To Make carrot dumplings

Step 1Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening. Add in milk, carrot and parsley, stirring until flour is moist. Drop dumplings into simmering liquid in 8 mounds. Cover. Simmer 15 minutes without lifting cover. Makes 8 servings.
