This recipe is so easy. My family has to have it for every Holiday or get together. We now make it sugar free for diabetic family members. It still tastes great.

Ingredients

  • 1 can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 can pineapple, crushed, drained
  • 1 box lrg cool whip topping, thrawed
  • 1 box sm orange jello
  • 1 box 16 oz. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional

How To Make orange jello salad

  • Step 1
    Drain both cans of fruit, very well.
  • Step 2
    Mix jello, cool whip and cottage cheese together so that it is not grainy.
  • Step 3
    Then add everyting else. Refridgerate for 1 hour. Serve cold.
  • Step 4
    I use sugarfree jello, light cool whip and light cottage cheese. I also get canned fruit in juice rather than heavy syrup. It is good either way.
