Mom wanted a box of oranges, but they weren't sweet enough for her so she just left them sitting on the table. I had a bag of cranberries I wanted to try my hand at making and decided 'Why waste the oranges?' I also enjoy experimenting with seasonings, so thought I would see how cardamom tasted in this sauce - the family raved about it

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cup water
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 package cranberries, fresh
  • 5 - cuties small oranges
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom

How To Make cranberry n cuties

  • Step 1
    Pour water and sugar into medium pot. Bring to boil
  • Step 2
    Pour rinsed cranberries into boiling water, they should start 'popping' Let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add in chopped cuties sections, stir and continue slow simmer for a few more minutes
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle with 1/2 tsp of cardamom and serve warm or cooled off, excellent both ways
