Ingredients

  • 3 medium
    yellow squash
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    fine bread crumbs
  • 1/3 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter, divided
  • 1
    egg beaten or egg substitute

How to Make Yellow Squash Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook squash and onion in small amount of salted water until tender, Drain. Add bread crumbs [save one spoonful for top} Add cheese, egg,salt, and 2T. butter. Spoon into greased casserole. Top with remaining bread crumbs and dot with 2T of butter. Bake in 350 degrees for 25 minutes
