I actually combined a couple of recipes to come up with this one. It has been a family favorite for years. Now that my kids are grown and have moved out, I make them one to take home also. My son-in-law says that this is one of his favs. It actually ends up being more of a dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 c
    cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c
    evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 2/3 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 c
    pecans, in pieces

How to Make Sweet Potatoe Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix first seven ingredients together and pour in casserole dish.
  2. Mix last four ingredients together and put on potatoe mixture.
  3. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
