  • 2 slice
    thick whole wheat bread, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 large
    egg, lightly beaten
  • 2
    shallots, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 lb
    bulk pork sausage
  • 1
    granny smith apple, peeled, shredded
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • ·
    a handful of cranberries for garnish

How to Make Sausage & apple stuffing w/ sage & cranberries


  1. Heat oven to 350. Spray a lg casserole dish w/ cooking spray. Place bread cubes in a bowl, sprinkle bread w/ broth. Let sit 5 mins. Mash bread w/ a fork. Stir in egg.
  2. Stir in shallots and sage. Add crumbled sausage and apple. Season w/ salt and pepper. Spoon mix into casserole dish.
  3. Bake 30-45 mins, or until top is browned nicely, and sausage is cooked through. Garnish w/ cranberries, sprinkled over top of casserole.
