polish noodle casserole
This casserole is good on a cold day.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
This Polish noodle casserole is a very old-fashioned recipe. We did some research, and it turns out these cottage cheese noodles were made back in the day when meat wasn't always available. Cottage cheese provided protein, and the noodles filled you up. They're creamy, savory, and a touch tangy. Onions add nice flavor to the casserole. A quick and easy dish, this can be prepared in minutes.

How To Make polish noodle casserole
-
Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Mix sour cream, cottage cheese, minced onion, salt, dry mustard, and white ground pepper.
-
Step 2Fold in warm cooked noodles.
-
Step 3Spread into a buttered baking dish.
-
Step 4Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. The noodles on top should begin to brown.
-
Step 5To be a bit fancier, when the 25 minutes are over, pull the casserole out of the oven. Smear it with a bit of butter and allow it to cook another 5 to 10 minutes. This can be sprinkled with Parmesan cheese, too.
