Meaty & Lean Baked Beans W/ Ground Chicken

My daughter Briana is 27 & has never had them when I made them WITHOUT THE MEAT. Even marveled to her friends that she thought everyone added meat to theirs because that is the only way she has ever eaten them.
I decided to lighten up the recipe a bit & use lean ground Purdue chicken, & it turned out really good, just fewer less calories.
You too may want to add ground chicken or turkey to yours & see what your family thinks of them. AWESOME & TASTY.

Ingredients

1-1 1/2 lblean ground chicken or turkey

1 mediumshallot, chopped

1 mediumonion chopped

1 mediumgreen bell pepper, chopped

6-8 slicebacon pre cooked

1 cheinz catsup

1/3 cprepared yellow mustard

3 1/2-4 lbcanned baked beans ( i use generic version)

1/3 cdark molasses

2/3 csplenda brown sugar blend

1 1/2-2 Tbspliquid smoke (more or less to your taste)
