Ingredients
- 1 cup quick grits
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups boiling water
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 6 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese, plus 2 oz.
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- - salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make garlic cheese grits

Step 1Preheat oven to 350º.

Step 2Stir the grits into the boiling water in a large saucepan.

Step 3Reduce heat and cook, stirring frequently, for 3 to 5 minutes.

Step 4Stir in 6 oz. cheese, eggs, butter, milk, garlic, salt and pepper.

Step 5When cheese has melted, pour the mixture into a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Bake for 1 hour.

Step 6Add remaining 2 oz. cheese on top, return to oven for 5 minutes until cheese has melted and turning golden.
