Ingredients
- 1 cup pearl barley, uncooked
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 8 ounces can sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make barley bravo

Step 1Saute the barley and onion in butter in a medium skillet over medium heat until the onion is tender. Add chicken broth and the remaining ingredients; stir well.

Step 2Spoon the mixture into a greased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350º for 1 hour or until barley is tender and liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
