sweet and savory summer wild rice salad

I've always loved chilled rice salads in the summertime.I've combined the ingredients that I like to make it sweet, savory and crunchy. This goes great with grilled fish or meat kabobs.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups wild and long grain rice cooked
  • 2/3 cup chopped red onion
  • 2/3 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries and golden raisins (combined)
  • 1/2 cup glazed pecan pieces
  • 2/3 cup fruity vinegrette (i use "naturally fresh pomagranite and mixed berry vinegrette)

How To Make sweet and savory summer wild rice salad

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients making sure to evenly distribute.
  • Step 2
    Chill for at least two hours before serving.
  • Step 3
    Optional: Can also top salad with blue cheese crumbles
