This is super easy, super tasty. If you have homemade sofrito, ll the better, but you can certainly use store bought and it'll be fine. I use this as a side dish and as a main course.

Ingredients
- 2 - 16 oz cans goya red or kidney beans
- 1 large waxy potato, cut to 1/2 inch dice
- 1 - packet goya sazon con culantro y annato seasoning
- 1 - 16 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons homemade sofrito, or packaged - i use goya
- - olive oil
- - salt to taste
- - cooked rice, any kind
How To Make super easy puerto rican rice and beans

Step 1In a pot, sauté the sofrito in a little olive oil for a couple of minutes.

Step 2Add all the remaining ingredients except the rice and cook covered until the diced large waxy potato is tender.

Step 3Serve over rice.
