spanish barley rice
I have always enjoyed trying new things, I was making Spanish rice when i accident added barley instead.. Did want to waste it, so i cooked it as i was to cook Spanish rice.. give it to my boyfriend and he raved hours after the meal.. I just i'll do it again but on purpose..

Ingredients
- 2 cups barley (rinsed)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable boullion
- 2 - roma tomatoes chopped finely
- 6 cups water
- 1/3 cup cut fideo noodles
- 1/2 stick butter
How To Make spanish barley rice

Step 1Add butter to pan and melt on med low heat. Add the barley and fideo noodles.

Step 2Brown to golden toasted,about 4 minutes. watch it and stir as needed..

Step 3In a small bowl add tomatoes and bouillon and mix well. Transfer to the barley mixture and stir to combine. Then add water stir, bring to a high boil. Cook for 20 minutes. Then lower to low heat cover and cook for 25 minutes more til you get to your texture. add water if needed..
