This rice is great as a side dish and it's very easy to make.

    onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter or margarine
  • 3
    chicken bouillion cubes
  • 2 c
    boiling water
  • 2 c
    instant rice
  • 2 Tbsp
    dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    rubbed sage
  • 1/4 tsp
    celery salt

How to Make Simple Herb Rice


  1. In a skillet, sauté onion in butter until tender. Dissolve bouillon in boiling water; add to the skillet.
  2. Stir in rice, parsley, sage and celery salt if desired. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5-8 minutes or until rice is tender.
