"rice-a-roni" mix
I found this online in my endeavor to avoid store bought convenience type foods. I keep a batch of it in my pantry in an air tight jar.

Ingredients
- 2 cups white rice is preferred but i use brown
- 1 cup broken vermicelli
- 1/4 cup dried parsley flakes
- 6 tablespoons beef or chicken boullion granules
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
How To Make "rice-a-roni" mix

Step 1Combine all ingredients into an airtight container.

Step 2Shake before measuring out.

Step 3Brown 1 cup mix in 2 tbsp butter.

Step 4Add 2-2 1/4 cup water & simmer, covered until done.
