quick chicken rice pilaf

My mother hated rice pilaf, because of all that sodium from the box.. So I found this recipes in a health magazine a while back and thought to add a little of my favors to it.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup long grain rice, uncooked

How To Make quick chicken rice pilaf

  • Step 1
    In a large pan heat oil and add orzo pasta; cook until golden brown.
  • Step 2
    Stir in the rice and coat with oil. Pour in broth bring to a boil. Lower to a simmer; cook for 25 or until rice is cooked.
