I got this recipe from a veggie cooking class. Everyone I share the recipe with absolutely loves it. It is delicious. I believe the secret is browning the rice brown cooking it.

Ingredients
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 1/4 cup butter or vegan spread
- 1 package mrs grass onion mix
- 4 ounces mushrooms, canned
- 3 cups water
- dash thyme, dried
- dash salt
How To Make onion rice

Step 1Brown rice in butter or vegan spread in a 1 1/2 quart casserole and add remaining ingredients. Bake in covered and buttered casserole at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Step 2You can use any kind of white rice. I really like the jasmine rice.
