Ingredients
- 2 cups rice, long grain
- 1 bunch broccoli, fresh
- 5 cups water
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, sliced
- GREEN BROCCOLI RICE DISH
How To Make my green rice

Step 1Medium sauce pan--put in 4 cups water--2 cups long grain par-broiled rice---1 TBSP salt.Bring to a rolling boil and then turn down heat to low/medium.Cook for 20 min.

Step 2Add in washed and chopped broccoli.All of the bunch or less.I like the whole bunch/unless it,s huge then I keep half back to blanch and keep in freezer for next time.I also chop up the stems/except for the bottom inch(tough).May need a small amount of water to the pot also.

Step 3Cook 15 min more on lowest heat setting.Taste test to see if rice and broccoli are done enough for you.If not.Scoop out into microwavable bowl and wave it about 3 min.

Step 4Last step and the best one(dump all that sliced/diced)cheddar cheese into the bowl you want to keep this side-dish into.Sprinkle with 1 tsp. black pepper.Enjoy and say ahh!
