herb rice made simple
I just got some fresh thyme from my moms house and dried it and brought it home and I wanted to have herb rice with my fish for dinner. So I thought thyme would be a good herb and it was a good choice. This rice went perfect with my fish. The fresh dried thyme has a lot more flavor then the dried thyme you buy at the store. Very good rice dish and a nice change from white rice that I love so much.

Ingredients
- 1 cup rice uncooked
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1 small can of mushrooms
- 1 sprig fresh dried thyme
How To Make herb rice made simple

Step 1Rinse rice and put in a rice cooker with 2 cups of water with all the ingredients and cook for 20 min or until the rice is not hard in the center. You can do this on the stove top also simmering the rice.
