Ingredients

soy sauce
1/2 tsp
sugar
1 Tbsp
canola oil
2 large
eggs, well beaten
1 medium
carrot, finely chopped
1
celery rib, finely chopped
1
scallion, chopped
1 tsp
ginger
1 clove
garlic, minced
2 c
cooked rice, cold

How to Make Fried Rice

Step-by-Step

  • 1In small bowl, combine the soy sauce, sugar and salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  • 2In large skillet, heat oil over medium high heat and cook eggs until scrambled. Transfer to a small dish.
  • 3In same skillet, add carrots, celery and scallions and saute for 3 minutes, stirring often. Stir in ginger and garlic and cook 1 minute longer. Add rice and stir fry 1 minute or until heated through, add soy sauce and eggs and stir fry 30 seconds longer.
