Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 5 ounces thin egg noodles or vermicelli
- 2 cups uncooked instant rice
- 2 packages 1-oz each dry onion soup mix
- 4 cups broth - vegetable or chicken
- 1 can 5-ounce can water chestnuts, drained and sliced or chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
How To Make fairy tale rice

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 deg. F. (175 deg. C.) Grease a 2-quart oven baking dish.

Step 2Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Break noodles into pieces and brown them in the butter.

Step 3In a large bowl, combine browned pasta, rice, onion soup, broth, water chestnuts, celery salt, and soy sauce. Mix well and transfer to prepared oven baking dish.

Step 4Bake for 45 minutes until liquid has been absorbed and casserole is brown and crispy on top. Serve!
