I love olives. So any excuse to add them to a recipe sounds good to me.

Ingredients For easy olive bake

  • 1 c
    uncooked rice
  • 2 md
    onions, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    vegan margarine
  • 2 c
    stewed tomatoes
  • 2 c
    water
  • 1 c
    black olives, quartered
  • 1/2-3/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetarian worcestershire sauce
  • 4 oz
    can mushrooms with juice
  • 1/2 c
    vegan “parmesan” cheese substitute

How To Make easy olive bake

  • 1
    wash and drain rice. Place into slow cooker.
  • 2
    Add remaining ingredients except cheese alternative. Mix well.
  • 3
    Cover. Cook on high 1 hour, then on low 2 hours, or until rice is tender but not mushy.
  • 4
    Add Vegan “Parmesan” Cheese Substitute before serving.
