I really like this as a side to roast chicken. Plus it is easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 ounces can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup long grain brown rice, uncooked
  • 1/4 cup parsley

How To Make brown rice pilaf

  • Step 1
    Combine the first 8 ingredients in a large saucepan; bring to a boil.
  • Step 2
    Stir in the rice; cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 45 minutes oruntil the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Stir in the parsley. Serve immediately.
