Black Beans and Brown Rice

jalapeno, seeded and diced
15.5 oz black beans, rinsed and drained
How to Make Black Beans and Brown Rice
1To the drained and rinsed black beans, add the cumin, curry and cayenne and set aside. In a 12 inch skillet, heat the oil. Add the onion, pepper, garlic and jalapeno and sauté for 4-5 minutes.
2Add uncooked rice and sauté for 2 minutes. Add broth, bring to a boil, cover, and lower the heat. Cook for 20 minutes.
3Add the black bean, spice mixture. Cook covered on low about 5 more minutes, until heated through.
