Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup finely chopped yellow onion
- 1/3 cup slivered almonds
- 1 cup long grain white rice, uncooked
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- - ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 teaspoons grated lime zest
- - fesh chopped parsely, for garnish
How To Make almond lime rice pilaf

Step 1n a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Stir in the onion and almonds. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until the onion is softened and the almonds are golden, stirring occasionally.

Step 2Add the rice; cook and stir for 1 minute.

Step 3Slowly stir in the broth, lime juice, soy sauce and pepper. Bring to a boil.

Step 4Cover, reduce heat to low, simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.

Step 5Stir in lime zest, fluff with a fork and garnish with parsley. Serve.
