Ingredients
- 4 medium yams, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon orange peel, finely shredded
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon allspice
How To Make yams for health

Step 1In a large skillet, bring 1\" of water to a boil; add yams.

Step 2Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until they are tender.

Step 3Drain.

Step 4In a small bowl, mix orange peel, orange juice, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon and allspice.

Step 5Pour over yams in skillet.

Step 6Cook and stir until bubbly.

Step 7Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes, spooning sauce over potatoes occasionally to make a glaze.
