This sweet potato casserole is a favorite of my family's especially at Thanksgiving time. It is delicious and so yummy!

Ingredients

  • 3 c
    mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/4 c
    melted butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • TOPPING:

  • 1/2 stick
    melted butter
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    self-rising flour
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans

How to Make Sweet Potato Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix the first 7 ingredients until well blended. Pour into buttered 2-1/2 quart baking dish.
  2. FOR TOPPING: Mix melted butter and stir in brown sugar. Add flour, then nuts and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of sweet potatoes.
  3. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes. This is the best sweet potato casserole I have ever tried.
