How to Make Suzy's German Potato Salad
- Boil POTATOES (peeling is optional)(cut up before or after you boil)(or nuke 6 minutes per side on a medium potato and multiply that per how many potatoes you use...***don't forget to poke holes in the spuds before nuking or KABOOM!!! you get a mess in your microwave.)
- Slice BACON and cook/fry. Keep the bacon fat in the pan - do not toss it. It is used as part of the flavor base. Sprinkle bacon pieces on cut up potatoes.
- Chop ONION. Put in bacon fat in pan from cooking/frying bacon. Cook onion pieces til clear in color. Turn off heat and add corn starch to onion/bacon fat in pan to thicken.
- Add in slowly VINEGAR and WATER and SUGAR to taste. Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve warm or cold.
