I haven't boughten bags of frozen fries since I don't know when. I make these instead, and my family "expects" them when I fix sloppy Joes. The kind of potato you use makes a big difference. I like the yukon gold the best. any potato will work tho

6 medium
potatoes, washed and cut inyo fries (leave skins on )
2 Tbsp
extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp
garlic powder
1 tsp
lawrey's seasoning salt
1 tsp
each chili powder,white pepper, mrs. dash

How to Make Spicy Oven Fries


  • 1wash potatoes well, scrub off dirt.dry with paper towels and cut with french fry cutter, or by hand in consistent size pieces. you can also cut unto thick slices.
  • 2place in a bowl. pour oil over and add spices. toss by tumbling bowl with hand until potatoes are well coated
  • 3place parchment paper on large baking sheet and spread potatoes evenly in single layer
  • 4bake in a hot 425 degree oven for 45 minutes or more until crispy and golden brown. Serve with your favorite brand ketchup or, I sometimes serve the slices topped with sour cream and chopped onions
