How to Make Pork and Kraut
- I use a pressure cooker to cook this recipe. I am sure a slow-cooker would work also.
For pressure cookers, put in 1 1/2 - 2 cups
of water before adding food.
A slow-cooker would need at least 2 1/2 - 3 cups of water. - Layer sourkraut (on bottom), a layer of pork chops, and then a layer of potatoes (with or without skins on). I usually make at least 2 layers of the sourkraut, potatoes and pork; seasoning as you layer.
- Cook 1 hr. in pressure cooker, and let pressure drop completely.
Slow-cooker time would be about 4 1/2 - 5 hrs. depending on how full you you make it.
