Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, packed
- 1 cup fresh parsley sprigs, packed
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese (not the pre-packaged stuff)
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 pounds new potatoes, unpeeled
How To Make new potatoes and pesto

Step 1Add the basil, parsley, pine nuts, and garlic to a food processor. Process until smooth. Pour olive oil into the food processor in a slow, steady stream with processor running. Process until blended. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and pepper. Set aside.

Step 2Arrange potatoes in a vegetable steamer over boiling water. Cover and steam the potatoes for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

Step 3Place the steamed potatoes in a large serving bowl; add the reserved basil mixture, and toss gently to coat well. Serve immediately.
