heart healthy fried potatoes

My father has had two bypass surgery and i wanted to find a healthier way to make his favorite fried potatoes, so here it is!

Ingredients

  • 5-6 large potatoes( i use russet)
  • - pam cooking spray
  • - mrs.dash salt substitute
  • - you can also use veg. oil sprinkled instead of spray
  • - (some times i use garlic powder, dried dill weed and 2 tbs of cider vinegar instead of mrs. dash)

How To Make heart healthy fried potatoes

  • Step 1
    In a microwave safe baking dish, thinly slice unpeeled potatoes and onions.(you can peel also, i love the flavor with peel)
  • Step 2
    Liberally spray potatoes and onions with pam cooking spray.( You can also use veg. oil)
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle generous amount of Mrs.dash (or you can use salt and pepper) work all with your hands untill well mixed.
  • Step 4
    Cover with clear plastic wrap tightly, cook in microwave for 22 minutes, times may vary in microwaves
