Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh green beans
  • 1/2 package hickory smoked bacon
  • 1 - red onion
  • 1 teaspoon cruched red pepper flakes
  • 3 medium red potatoes
  • 2/3 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic

How To Make green beans with bacon and potatoes

  • Step 1
    Cook bacon.
  • Step 2
    Sauté onions and pepper flakes in bacon grease, add green beans, potatoes and chicken broth.Cover and cook until potatoes and beans are tender.
  • Step 3
    When beans and potatoes are tender remove cover. Add garlic and cook until broth has evaporated.
  • Step 4
    Add salt and pepper.
