easy au gratin potatoes
This potato dish was one of my Grandma's and they are easy to make. I always add little more cheese and garlic then called for but its up to your individual preference.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup 1/2 & 1/2 cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 3 medium potatoes ; thinly sliced
- 1 cup seasoned salad croutons ; divided
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make easy au gratin potatoes

Step 1In a large sauce pan bring cream , milk , salt and garlic powder to a boil.

Step 2Add potatoes ; Reduce heat , Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Step 3Coarsely crush 1/4 cup of croutons.

Step 4Remove potatoes from the heat and Gently add croutons and pepper.

Step 5Pour into a 1-1/2 Qt. Buttered Baking dish and sprinkle with cheese and the remaining croutons.

Step 6Bake un-covered @ 400 deg. for 5-6 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
