bacon, cut up
12 medium
potatoes,peeled and sliced
16 oz
mushrooms, fresh,sliced
8 oz
cheddar cheese, shredded
2 can(s)
beer
1 can(s)
mushroom soup (optional)
2 large
onions,chopped

How to Make Dutch Oven Potatoes.

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large cast iron dutch oven. Over med-high heat fry bacon,till chrisp. And onions and mushrooms. Cook for 3-4 min. Add potatoes.Cook till they start to brown. Add beer,cover and cook for abought 45 min
    Check 1/2 way through, you may need to add some beer.
  • 2After 45 min. Uncover add soup,stir and mix well. Cover and cook 10 min. Uncover sprinkle cheese over top,cover cook 5 min or till cheese melts. Serve hot with pork or beef...
