Blue Ribbon Recipe
Candied yams are a holiday side dish staple. This version uses fresh sweet potatoes and turns out delicious. It's made with simple ingredients and an easy dish to prepare. Once baked, the sweet potatoes are dripping in a buttery brown sugar sauce filled with cinnamon flavor. We could seriously have eaten spoonfuls of the sauce.
Note: For us, 4 sweet potatoes equaled 3 lbs. There was more than enough sauce so you could probably use up to 6 potatoes.
